D' Ouwe Brandweer is looking for new team members! We are a friendly café-restaurant on the Zuiderdiep in central Groningen, established in 1994. We offer a traditional, welcoming atmosphere. Our name reflects the city's former fire station, once located opposite us, where the sirens could be heard clearly.
Our interior still features plenty of references to the fire brigade, creating a relaxed atmosphere!

Since summer 2020, we have invested heavily in making D' Ouwe Brandweer Groningen's most enjoyable and successful café-restaurant, something we are proud of. To build on this, we need an assistant manager to help our existing management team develop the business further.

You will join several full-time professionals in the kitchen and service teams and become part of the management team. Together, you will shape this wonderful business and make decisions in consultation with the owners.

What do we expect from you?

- You love hospitality, its sociable side and working hard in a good team. Every manager actively works on the floor.
- You are a team player who can motivate and coach colleagues.
- You take the lead and make decisions independently.
- You are available three to five days a week, on weekdays and at weekends. The management team agrees the rota together.
- You already have hospitality experience. We will gladly teach you business management and give you room to grow into the role.
- You enjoy organising the daily and weekly running of a hospitality business.
- You want to understand purchasing and staffing costs and apply that knowledge. We will explain our working methods.
