Ready for the next step in the kitchen? The Market Hotel & Café Willem Albert is looking for an ambitious chef who wants to progress to Junior Sous Chef.

Do you love cooking and want to develop towards a leadership role? The Junior Sous Chef position at The Market Hotel & Café Willem Albert could be for you.

As Junior Sous Chef, you will work closely with the head chef and kitchen team to keep the kitchen running smoothly. You will carefully prepare delicious dishes, run your own section and contribute during busy services. You enjoy getting stuck in, remain calm under pressure and help create a positive kitchen atmosphere. Guest satisfaction is your goal, and you welcome a challenge.

You start your shift with the team, discussing the day's plans: mise en place, bookings and any groups. You work together through lunch and dinner to keep service running smoothly. There is always room for a joke, as well as learning from one another and improving together.

The Market Hotel is on Groningen's Grote Markt and has 123 rooms. On the ground floor, our restaurant and Café Willem Albert serve approachable, flavourful food with a Dutch touch. With a large restaurant and two terraces, it is a lively place welcoming guests throughout the day.
