Shift leader

What does the role involve?
As shift leader at Bistro Landing, you are the face of our service and the link between the team and management. You work in table service and behind the bar, serving as the first point of contact for waiting staff during your shift. Your infectious energy keeps everything running smoothly and creates an unforgettable guest experience. In summer, you will often work outdoors on our wonderful terrace!

You will open and close the bistro, coordinate the associated tasks and lead your colleagues. Together with the lead chef, you maintain quality and hospitality. You actively work on the floor, keep an overview on busy days and help wherever needed.

You also warmly welcome our guests. Using our We Reserve online booking system, you plan efficient table arrangements. From spontaneous lunches to large groups with special requests, you keep everything on track and serve as guests' point of contact on the floor.

You help organise enjoyable events such as pizza and barbecue evenings, often highlights of our guests' stays. You also place orders and ensure the day's takings are reconciled correctly.

Your responsibilities:
Open and close the bistro using our opening and closing checklists.
Lead and support one to six on-call staff during your shift
Act as a buddy for new colleagues
Manage bookings and seat guests efficiently
Welcome guests, advise them on food and drinks, and take orders
Coordinate and carry out cleaning tasks
Inform and motivate your team about changing dishes and special arrangements
Manage group bookings
Coordinate events such as pizza and barbecue evenings
Place orders with regular suppliers
Ensure accurate digital cash reconciliation.

What will you bring?
At least one year of hospitality leadership experience.
Available at weekends and during all primary school holidays.
A passion for coffee, food and drink, with attention to vegetarian and vegan options.
Experience in the leisure sector is an advantage.
A talent for attractive chalkboard lettering is a bonus.
A good command of Dutch
