Job description

Cooking at Camping De Kleine Wereld
Camping De Kleine Wereld is a place for adventure, relaxation and delicious food. Bistro Landing combines flavours from around the world with a local twist. We want to work more closely with local suppliers to create a unique guest experience. With an atmospheric open kitchen, an outdoor bar and a wood-fired pizza oven on the terrace, the possibilities are endless. Together with an enthusiastic team, we continue developing these experiences.

What will you do?
As an independently working chef, you bring flavour to our kitchen. You prepare dishes with fresh, local ingredients, create original recipes and play a key role in our bistro's culinary success. From summer lunches to barbecues and birthday dinners, you create a delicious adventure.

You work in an open kitchen, connected directly with guests and colleagues. You form a strong partnership with another chef or kitchen assistant and supervise the dishwasher. Alongside cooking, you help develop daily specials, group menus and events, working with the front-of-house team leader to ensure an efficient guest experience.

Prepare lunch, drinks-time snacks and dinner dishes, following recipes and using your creativity.
Clean and maintain the kitchen in line with HACCP standards.
Receive and check deliveries and place orders.
Contribute culinary ideas and improvements to our regularly changing menu.
Work outdoors at events such as the Winter Wereldmarkt, barbecue evenings and pizza evenings.

Who are we looking for?
You are an enthusiastic, experienced chef with a love of the craft and an eye for detail. You work independently and keep a kitchen running smoothly. You are creative, responsible and keen to develop in a dynamic setting.

We are looking for someone who:
Have a cooking qualification or equivalent experience.
Have experience with HACCP standards and safety requirements.
Are hardworking and effective both independently and in a team.
Are ambitious, eager to learn and passionate about culinary creations.
Enjoy contributing ideas for dishes, events and improvements.
Are available at weekends, Friday to Sunday, and for extra shifts in high season: the May school holiday, Ascension, Pentecost, July and August.

What do we offer?
A beautiful open kitchen with direct contact with our guests.
A challenging, varied role in an atmospheric setting.
Plenty of room for creativity and your own ideas.
Friendly team meals and access to campsite facilities, including the pool.
Seasonal work with flexible hours in high and low season.
The option to stay at the campsite in your own camping accommodation if you live far away.
